They're Not Just At Walmart...

We truly are the strangest animals of all.

Lash Of The Fox-Woman

Her false eyelashes are individually cut, glued and curled pieces of her freshly dyed hair.

I wish she was my nanna.

Chickens On The Runway

As these ladies remind us,
it's not what you wear,
but how you wear it.

Seventy Years Bad Luck

L.A.'s mysterious resident The Mirror Man.

How I'd love to see a photo shoot featuring him and Angelyne!

Beauty Is In The Unseeing Eye Of The Beholder

Two images from artist Lisa Murphy's book Tactile Minds, which she created when she realized that the "blind have been left out in a culture saturated with sexual images.”

From the book:

Left image: SATANIC RAM. A tactile picture of a naked voluptuous woman dressed as a Satanic ram. She wears a long cardboard mask of spires, a beard and an inverted cross. Her pubic hair forms a triangle between her legs.

Right image: POSING IN SNAKESKIN SHOES. A tactile picture of a naked woman standing in snakeskin shoes. She wears a plastic bag over her head, with paper cones for eyes. This photograph was taken from a lower angle revealing a vagina shaved bare.

Note that she says sexual, not sexy; though if Charles Manson ever develops a set of cataracts, he'll be in hog heaven!

Second Hand Cernunnos & The Squirreliputnian

Sweet mystery of the universe, but for whatever reason I can't surf for more than five minutes of late without running into a totem-esque/animorphic/taxidermy photo.

Neither of these were credited where I found them (the first was, I believe, from a thrift store/boutique), but I thought I'd post them and thus conclude the theme of the last few days...

...for now.

Sunny Side Up

This 1937 invention of the Chelsea Baby Club Of London, designed to free up time for nannies by sparing them the exhaustion of taking high rise/tenement tots for a stroll in the park, didn't quite catch on...

...and I'm sure the baby-sized opening between the cage edge and the window ledge is simply an optical illusion caused by poor photography, and not the reason for it's failure.

The Ballad Of Barn Owl Bill

I love, what appears to be, the huge scar running down the side of Barn Owl Bills face, from when this aristocratic bird decided it was tired of being handled by a déclassé third generation inbred hillbilly sasquatch...

...with bad hair.

Celebrity Jerky

Even wonder how cavemen blogged before the internet?

Let's set the Way Back Machine to 15+ years ago...
