A Tale Of Two Turtles

A modified Philadelphia trash can logo I took a crapola cell pic of months ago, and a nail set James St. James posted earlier today on worldofwonder.net

Two Legendary Pink Bots

I just came from seeing Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen.

Delighted to finally see some ladybots in the films, but I was a bit bummed that Arcee didn't get more screen time.

This li'l snippet, compliments of Wikipedia, explains, if not excuses, why:

"Arcee was initially meant to appear in the 2007 film... but was ultimately dropped from it due to concerns of her being too small compared to the other bots, and the fact that the writers felt there was not enough time to explain her "gender" (Transformers comic continuity stated that they don't have sexes, but she was introduced in issue #234 of the U.K. Marvel series to appease feminists - who hated her because she was pink) . Whether to explain robotic gender or not was something the writers were unsure about... the issue eventually remaining unaddressed in the finished movie"

Pussies.

To help even the cosmic scales of robo-misogyny, I also present Arcee's white-trash not quite kissing Gundam cousin, Lacee.

Mrs. Molinsky's Top 3

Joan Rivers will always have a special li'l place in my heart, not just because she was the queen of the one-liners when I was growing up, but because she was my father's most hated celebrity; he literally (and without fail) would yell "whore!", "bitch!", or "fuckin' cunt!" every-time an ad for her appearing on a talk show or guest hosting The Tonight Show would pop up.

Which always broke up the monotony of forced family time viewing...

マリオ and Truck The Magic Dragon

My man is a huge fan of both Transformers and the unassembled Italian below (to the point of having collectible based wall shrines to both in his apt.), so this one is for him - the later is a Russian fuel truck, which makes the custom design all the cleverer.

Jam Tomorrow, Jam Yesterday, But Never Ever Jam Today!

It's been raining here in Philadelphia for, oh I don't know, three of four years straight now...

A little something to part the clouds, if only for a few minutes.
The entire clip is rather brilliant, but fast forward to 1:30 for The Jam Song (4:30 for the nightmarish ending) - you won't be sorry!

Goon Dock Toon

When The Goonies came out I was oh so sadly Breakfast Club (sans the dandruff), so it never quite resonated for me the way it did for many of my friends - but this poster on the other hand, by UK artist Drew Millward, is quite charming.

Cat Scratch Fever Pt. 1

This is a deliciously deraged low rent video from Eartha Kitt's mid '80's comeback disco album; Catwoman Vs. Ghostbusters with french subtitles...
